I love this. (via Geekosystem) (via frodesignco)
It was the Initech that jumped out at me first.
This is awesome, but the typography on the Soylent Co. one especially really irritates me to no end.
yeah, it’s unclear whether the typography is at the hands of a novice designer, or intentionally bad to reflect the nature of the companies. Although Umbrella Corp/Ingen are generally so slick it’s probably the former.

We made a quick yet long-awaited tweak to our apps today. You can now see how far away you are from becoming Mayor of the places you check into. Take it for a test drive tonight and see if it fires up the flames of competitiveness for you!
Just a quick reminder of how Mayorships work: To become Mayor of a place, you need to have checked in more days than anyone else over the last two months (60 days), so only one check-in per day counts. Oh, you also need to have uploaded a profile photo from your settings page (no one wants a faceless dictatorship!). And yes, we also made changes that prevent registered “Managers” and “Employees” from becoming Mayors of their own venues.
We have lots and lots in the queue, so you’ll be hearing more from us shortly!

this won’t make me obsessive at all.

I am continually amazed by the number of people who use OK Cupid in a serious manner…
yeah, because it’s totally still 1995 and nobody does anything real online like finding jobs on craigslist or dating people they met on OKC/twitter/etc.

Sunn O))) - It Took The Night To Believe (400x Remix)
so, beiber 800 times slower is amusing, but heather and I (and somebody else, apparently) immediately wondered what Sunn O))) would sound like faster. So here it is - timestretched, unlike that youtube video that just sounds like chipmunks.
Brilliant, but why not choose a song sans vocals?
What’s the program for this anyway, I’d like to try it out with something like Dopesmoker. Compress that shit 20x from 1 hour to 5 min and see what happens.
It has vocals, nay, lyrics! I used Audacity (free/OSS ftw). Effect > Change Tempo.
