Text: Cinnamon Crunch Popcorn

I’m making this tonight for the weekly David Lynch night.  It’s delicious, even if you don’t normally like sweet popcorn (e.g. kettle corn).  by Neil Brideau.

  • 2 t cinnamon
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/4 c popping corn
  • 1/4 c oil
  • 1/4 c 1T granulated sugar


In a small bowl mix cinnamon, salt and 1T sugar. Have this spice
mixture ready by the popper.
Pop corn with oil and 1/4 c 1T sugar. Make sure you are whirlypopping
continuously or shaking pot quite often, so things don’t stick to the
bottom of the pot (yuck).
When popping has completed (or really neared completion), quickly
remove from heat, open lid and pour in spice mixture over hot popcorn.
Close lid and stir (or shake) to combine until thuroughly mixed. Pour
into a large bowl. Continue to stir with a large spoon. Cool and store
in an airtight container (read: eat immediately).
