That lineup (with Circa Survive) is handily worth it to me, even though I’ve seen Torche thrice(?) now.

Circa Survive have revealed the details of their upcoming major label debut. Blue Sky Noise will be released April 20—two days before the band kick off their tour with Coheed And Cambria in Charlotte, NC. Blue Sky Noise was produced by David Bottrill (Muse, Tool) and mixed by Rich Costey (the Mars Volta, Rage Against The Machine).

Major label debut? we’re still playing that game? Still, Circa Survive has always been a very even pastiche, flat-as-a-pancake, so they can hardly be any more compressed. Major label loudness war production might actually do them some good. Also? no way I’d consider seeing anything other than Co&Ca with Circa Survive.

Circa Survive - Travel Hymn

I forget how unique Anthony Green’s voice is. Circa Survive also fits an emotional thread that I have a particular weakness for. It’s a thread that’s flowed through Deftones and A Perfect Circle, and later through Interpol and Dredg.
